It is believed that the threats where made toward a promoter that was involved with bringing Toni down to Trinidad for what would have been a concert headlined by her....

There is no proof at this time that Toni's life was directly threatened, this mess is between rival promoters and it would make sense to think that Toni just doesn't want to be involved with this potential danger after all it doesn’t sound like these people are very professional at all!!!!!
If Toni feels the need to talk about the event and why it was canceled I'm sure she will!!!
We all know that she has never been afraid to talk publicly to level things out through her word which of course defuses any rumors and lies surrounding her name….

Hope she get through it well, things like this can prejudice her image.. she has a lot of postponed/cancelled shows(here in Brazil, for example...) and it's no good for her

i really hope that Toni makes it to the concert in Trinidad on saturday and this is just a rumour!!.... :(

Toni's image & brand has already been set at LEGENDARY years ago she's is timeless and will always sell out shows abroad without a doubt missed dates or not....

Please be advised that The Unconditional Love Concert featuring Toni Braxton and James Ingram, carded for this Saturday 07th May, has been cancelled. Due to reasons beyond the control of the promoter, the headline act Toni Braxton, is unable to fulfill her contractual commitment to perform in Trinidad, as previously agreed to, by contract. The promoter sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience caused, however in the interest of transparency and honesty, and to be absolutely fair to patrons, it is felt that cancelation is the most prudent option at this point.
Full refunds will be available at the point of purchase of tickets, from this Thursday 05th May, 2011 to Friday 20th May 2011.
Once again deepest apologies for any inconvenience caused.
