Has Toni Braxton Given Up On I Heart You?
I Heart You has been out for about a month now and the official version and video for about two weeks and it is going nowhere... It is not on radio and not even got 200000 views on youtube.. I have seen videos out for just 5 days and get over13 million views... I Heart You is not even on VEVO.. I is a very good song but it is getting the same perennial treatment as all her previous singles and albums over the past few years... Toni is u are going to spend time and do an album u need to spend the time and promote it..... Album due in May and there is no single on the radio or creating a buzz out there... This is not a good sign.. we ur faithful are the only ones who know about is and will go out and buy it in the first weeks then after that the sales go down like the other albums.. Toni u need to hit the road to promote the album ... something drastic has to be done now now now

Well to be honest I bought the song on itunes and listened to the song about 10 times and it still has not grown on me. I think the song is cute, but as a first single it needs to be a smash and I just don't hear a smash record when I listen to it. It sounds like Toni is being current instead of Toni singing a new new classic Toni record.

I was hoping it was just a track to wet our appetites, while the album and first single is finished. I'm not really a fan of the track. I think its ok, but not first single material. I'm hoping and praying Toni has something big up her sleeve. We need a pumping soulful RnB track Toni, with a top quality video to match. Plenty of promo.. on better shows! ; )

I was thinking this is just a buzz track...Shes basically just waiting for a label to pick her up. She keeps saying that she and LA Reid are "In Talks", the papers just need to be signed!...Plus we all know Toni, she announces albums and we end up waiting years lol.

I was thinking the same thing..I feel this is why Yesterday didn't do well in the states,She put it out in the US and didn't promote it with live performances etc...
..She just put it out and went on to promo it heavy in the UK..
I think when when releases a single...live performances should already be set up and appearances

The song sounds like classic Dance Toni Braxton, Think UBMH, IDWT & spanish guitar.
She could have carried the single off the back of the show but didnt (a 5 min segment aint enough) .
However! i think as a fan im comfortable of where she is now. she has NEVER failed to deliver a great album (i personally dont care about sales).
Remember at the start of the promo for BFV season 1, she was thinking of retiring.....

Shes independent... Doing this on her own. Vevo would mostly with signed artists. Toni isn't. You guys need to understand things are very different for her now since she's independent... Yes she should still prompt,but without a record label to give her money.... Who will pay for her to travel her band to different platforms to perform. More than likely she's using her own money to finance this. Just be patient you guys...
Or we can all tweet Toni like crazy.

u can jus put out a "single" to create a buzz... u have to let people know that it is out... u need to go to the mass media.. radio and popular tv shows... then release the "real" single... What is Toni doing? Who knows?

I am on the same exact page. Imagine if "I heart you" was just a wake up call to fans and everyone out there that she is back, something new to come. THEN a single like "Youre Makin Me High" is dropped-wow! Talk about pumpin soul! I agree about better shows too for god sake, i mean revolution was like a show with low ratings right? She has to get on ellen and the late night shows like leno, kimmel, letterman. You look back at those performances of YMMH on leno and rosie-and everyone saw it becausethose were popular shows, therefore everyone heard and saw the FIRE in Toni. I just feel hard work in the studio is pointless without strong smart a-list promotion, especially when everyone considers her a freakin legend! This is the time for her to shine.
