I Heart You has been out for about a month now and the official version and video for about two weeks and it is going nowhere... It is not on radio and not even got 200000 views on youtube.. I have seen videos out for just 5 days and get over13 million views...  I Heart You is not even on VEVO.. I is a very good song but it is getting the same perennial treatment as all her previous singles and albums over the past few years...  Toni is u are going to spend time and do an album u need to spend the time and promote it..... Album due in May and there is no single on the radio or creating a buzz out there... This is not a good sign.. we ur faithful are the only ones who know about is and will go out and buy it in the first weeks then after that the sales go down like the other albums..   Toni u need to hit the road to promote the album ... something drastic has to be done now now now

Oh, yea :)  Did Billie Woodruff direct them?
I have videos on youtube too.. but not music videos on VEVO or anything.

Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga also have video's on youtube.  I think thats worked out ok for them. :)

Exactly.  None of us want for Toni.  She is on twitter all the time.  Her single is out on itunes, youtube, soundcloud.  Her video is on WE and Youtube.  If you were to ask Toni, I am sure she would say she is doing enough.. factor in all the touring she has done lately and this has actually been a pretty busy cycle for a new album.

She did say she went independent after Prince persuaded her to do so.  Since Prince went independent, his music has never seen the light of day on radio, etc. I dont know why you guys expect Toni to be able to.

Great point tiger print

Because when Toni puts out R & B it does not sell like it should therefore she has to diversify herself.  look at pulse , it was an awesome album yet it did not do her justice ....I really think her fans needs to support her better.

When Toni tours she is singing her r&b hits from the 90s. Why doesn't she record the type of music that made her hit records? The whole "trying to be current" thing has never worked for her and is a main reason she has not had a hit since He Wasn't Man Enough.

The fact that Toni has done well since He Wasn't Man Enough (Though Please Didn't Do Bad) is because people are too concerned these days with talentless messes, unfortunately Toni has been plagued by bankruptcy and health issues, so she doesn't get the same love that say Mariah or Madonna will get, where people just buy their albums and support their singles just because of the name.. sad really, as Toni has A LOT of talent and deserves better.

I personally love me some I Heart You! So good, I just want more than I know I'll get... so I can't be losing sleep over Toni's career when I have my own life to be concerned about.

so sad and psst...

I agree. Sadly it's not the label's responsibilities to promote an artist anymore. You have to over saturate yourself to get the "buzz" you need. You think Beyoncè does it just for the fun of it? No she does because the more you see her and hear the more likely you are to buy the album. The days of just releasing albums and lip-synching live on tour is over. Gotta put in work. Not even a TV show can promote you the way you would like.

I disagree. Pulse was pop with no hit singles. Toni's last R&B album was Libra and that album did well (going gold with no label promotion and a lead single that came out 5 months before the album was released). R&B consumers support good R&B music.

So Tiger would you say that Toni should stop trying being current, record the music for her, and just cater to her fanbase?

I don't think Toni is trying to be "Current".... I think Toni is doing what Toni wants to do...

Why do ppl ASSUME that all Toni wants to do is R&B... Sad Love Songs.... Un-Break my Hearts....?

Maybe she wasn't given much of a choice other than to record songs like this...

i don't think the single is going anywhere...

and let's face it - it's not a "buzz" single

she probably thought by creating a dance single - people would love it, because that's what's popular out there

but unfortunately it's not doing well. she hasn't promoted it at all. she dropped the video, and then basically was like peace

out. the face remains that artists like toni do not get the recognition they once had. r&b music isn't the same as it used to be

in the 90's. she shouldn't make dance music just because it's popular. people said - oh she needs to come out with a

bangning dance record. well she did, and it hasn't gotten her anywhere

What are you talking about the song is doing well on the Dance charts .....
